PM Modi's Gujarat Event to Feature Historic All-Women Security Team

The Prime Minister will address the 'Lakhpati Didi Sammelan' on International Women's Day, launching initiatives to empower women entrepreneurs and rural livelihoods.

  • PM Modi will disburse ₹450 crore to over 2.5 lakh women from 25,000 self-help groups (SHGs) under the 'Lakhpati Didi Yojana,' recognizing women earning ₹1 lakh annually through various livelihoods.
  • Two new schemes, G-SAFAL and G-MAITRI, will be launched to promote financial independence for women from low-income families and support rural startups with a ₹50 crore fund over five years.
  • The event will host nearly one lakh women from Gujarat's Navsari, Valsad, and Dang districts, celebrating women's economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.
