Overview
- The Union Health Ministry says the fortnight-long campaign will run from September 17 to October 2 across Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, community health centres and other public facilities.
- Haryana will inaugurate its state rollout in Rohtak led by Union Health Minister JP Nadda and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, with 122 specialised camps, 75,000 free spectacles, 75 new obesity clinics and 696 blood donation camps.
- Andhra Pradesh plans camps at more than 10,000 health and wellness centres plus hundreds of PHCs and CHCs, offering tests for haemoglobin, blood pressure, blood sugar, cancer and TB, vaccinations for children and sickle-cell screening in tribal areas.
- The national launch is scheduled in Madhya Pradesh at PM Mitra Park in Dhar, with the state’s health mission and UNICEF coordinating social media outreach to drive participation.
- Complementary measures expected at launch include the Suman Sakhi chatbot, Poshan Maah activities and transfers under the Matrivandana scheme, with medical associations expressing support for broad public participation.
