PM Modi to Inaugurate ISKCON Temple and Commission Naval Combatants in Mumbai

The Prime Minister's visit on January 15 will feature the dedication of advanced naval vessels and the opening of a nine-acre ISKCON temple complex in Navi Mumbai.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate three naval combatants—INS Surat, INS Nilgiri, and INS Vaghsheer—at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai on January 15.
  • The INS Surat is a state-of-the-art guided missile destroyer, while INS Nilgiri is a stealth frigate, and INS Vaghsheer is a Scorpene-class submarine built with French collaboration.
  • Later in the day, PM Modi will inaugurate the Sri Sri Radha Madanmohanji Temple, an ISKCON project in Navi Mumbai, which spans nine acres and promotes Vedic teachings and cultural heritage.
  • The temple inauguration will include rituals, cultural activities, and a public address by the Prime Minister, with over 1,700 volunteers involved in preparations.
  • The visit also includes meetings with BJP legislators and party members to discuss strategies for upcoming local body elections and public conduct.
