PM Modi to Inaugurate First Phase of Mumbai's Underground Metro in October

The 12-km Aqua Line from Aarey Colony to Bandra Kurla Complex will open with 10 stations, marking a major milestone for the city's transit system.

The Aqua Line's first phase will cover 12 kilometers with 10 operational stations, connecting key areas like Santacruz, Marol, and Ghatkopar.
The full 33.5 km Metro 3 corridor, from Colaba to Seepz, is expected to be completed by March 2025.
Initial operations will feature nine trains making 96 trips daily, with services running from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM on weekdays.
The fare structure for the Aqua Line ranges from Rs 10 to Rs 50, with plans to introduce NCMC cards for ticketing.
Once fully operational, the Aqua Line is projected to reduce road traffic congestion significantly and cater to around 17 lakh passengers daily.
