PM Modi to Inaugurate ₹5,500 Crore Projects for Maha Kumbh 2025

Key infrastructure and digital initiatives aim to enhance facilities for 450 million expected attendees in Prayagraj.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Prayagraj on December 13, 2024, to inaugurate development projects worth ₹5,500 crore for the Maha Kumbh 2025, including temple corridors, riverfront roads, and sewage systems.
The Uttar Pradesh government has introduced advanced technology, including AI-powered systems and a Kumbh chatbot, to improve crowd management and ensure digital safety for attendees.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed extensive preparations, including a temporary 100-bed hospital, eco-friendly initiatives, and enhanced security measures for the month-long event starting January 13, 2025.
The Indian Railways will deploy 12,000 additional general coaches to accommodate pilgrims, while eco-friendly puja items crafted by women artisans will be available for rituals.
Over 450 million pilgrims are expected, with arrangements such as smart parking, clean drinking water, and a plastic-free environment to ensure a safe and sustainable experience.
