Overview

• The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, launched in December 2022, aims to transform over 1,300 railway stations into modern transit hubs with enhanced amenities and sustainability features.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 103 redeveloped stations nationwide, including four key Mumbai suburban stations: Chinchpokli, Parel, Vadala Road, and Matunga.
• The redevelopment of these Mumbai stations was completed in just 15 months, with a total investment of ₹71.52 crore, focusing on passenger comfort, accessibility, and urban integration.
