PM Modi Meets APL Delegation to Mark Inaugural Season Success

  • Actor Ram Charan, APL chairman Anil Kamineni, and Archery Association of India president Virender Sachdeva met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on October 11 to celebrate the league’s completion.
  • The delegation presented the Prime Minister with a bow, Upasana Kamineni offered a Balaji idol and puja kit on behalf of Chiranjeevi, and Mid-day reports the PM gave Ram Charan a statue.
  • Ram Charan posted that he was honoured to meet the Prime Minister and said the PM’s guidance and passion for sports would help promote archery’s legacy, while Upasana highlighted sport’s role in mental and physical well-being.
  • After the meeting, the APL team held a press conference with league archers to share highlights from the inaugural season.
  • The Archery Premier League, launched in 2025 as India’s first franchise-based archery tournament, features six mixed-gender teams competing in a round-robin and knockouts at the Yamuna Sports Complex, with Rajputana Royals and Mighty Marathas set for the season finale.
