The Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special tourist train for persons of Indian origin aged 45-65, was launched to connect the diaspora with India's cultural and religious landmarks over a three-week journey.
The convention, themed 'Diaspora's Contribution to a Viksit Bharat,' brought together over 3,500 delegates from 50 countries to discuss the diaspora's role in India's development goals.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar emphasized the diaspora's significance as a 'living bridge' fostering global connections and highlighted India's advancements in technology, ease of living, and digital services for expatriates.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and other dignitaries showcased the state's cultural heritage and economic potential, encouraging diaspora contributions to India's growth and tourism.
