PM Modi Inaugurates Namo Bharat Rapid Rail in Gujarat

The new inter-city rail service, previously known as Vande Metro, connects Bhuj and Ahmedabad, promising enhanced travel efficiency and modern amenities.

The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail covers a distance of 360 kilometers in approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes, with a top speed of 110 km/h.
The service operates six days a week, with departures from Bhuj at 5:05 am and from Ahmedabad at 5:30 pm.
Key stops include Sabarmati, Chandlodiya, Viramgam, Dhrangadhra, Halvad, Samakhiali, Bhachau, Gandhidham, and Anjar.
The train features 12 air-conditioned coaches with seating for 1,150 passengers and standing room for 2,058, offering modern amenities such as automatic sliding doors, phone charging stations, and panoramic windows.
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated several other infrastructure projects in Gujarat, including new Vande Bharat train routes and solar energy initiatives.
