PM Modi Inaugurates Namo Bharat Rapid Rail in Gujarat
The new inter-city rail service, previously known as Vande Metro, connects Bhuj and Ahmedabad, promising enhanced travel efficiency and modern amenities.
- The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail covers a distance of 360 kilometers in approximately 5 hours and 45 minutes, with a top speed of 110 km/h.
- The service operates six days a week, with departures from Bhuj at 5:05 am and from Ahmedabad at 5:30 pm.
- Key stops include Sabarmati, Chandlodiya, Viramgam, Dhrangadhra, Halvad, Samakhiali, Bhachau, Gandhidham, and Anjar.
- The train features 12 air-conditioned coaches with seating for 1,150 passengers and standing room for 2,058, offering modern amenities such as automatic sliding doors, phone charging stations, and panoramic windows.
- Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated several other infrastructure projects in Gujarat, including new Vande Bharat train routes and solar energy initiatives.
