PM Modi Inaugurates Boeing's Largest Global Center Outside U.S. in Bengaluru

The inauguration also marked the launch of the Boeing Sukanya Programme, aimed at increasing female participation in India's growing aviation industry.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Boeing's new global engineering and technology center campus in Bengaluru, the company's largest facility outside of the United States.
The center, built with an investment of ₹1,600 crore, is set to focus on developing next-generation products and services for the global aerospace and defense industry.
Modi also launched the Boeing Sukanya Programme, an initiative designed to bolster the entry of more girl children into India’s burgeoning aviation industry.
Modi stated that due to growing demand, Indian airlines have placed orders for hundreds of aircraft and India is on track to become one of the largest aviation markets in the world.
To further India's aviation market, the central government is encouraging states to reduce taxes on aviation fuel.
