PM-KISAN 21st Instalment Set for November 19 as Government Urges e-KYC Updates

Mandatory e-KYC will determine eligibility for the transfer, with digital upgrades strengthening verification via a new central registry.

  • e-KYC is compulsory, with OTP-based verification available on the PM-KISAN portal and biometric options at Common Service Centres; new registrations can be done online, at CSCs, or via the official QR code.
  • A portion of the 21st instalment was released earlier to Jammu and Kashmir, with Rs 170 crore sent to 8.5 lakh farmers on October 7 following floods.
  • Digital measures include the Kisan-eMitra AI chatbot (24/7 in 11 languages), upgraded app and portal tools, IPPB doorstep Aadhaar-enabled banking, and a Farmer Registry, as total transfers reported have crossed Rs 3.7 lakh crore benefiting over 11 crore families.
