Overview

• The scheme has disbursed ₹3.5 lakh crore to 9.8 crore farmers since its launch on December 1, 2018.
• Beneficiaries receive ₹6,000 annually in three instalments of ₹2,000 every four months.
• The 20th instalment, following the February payout, is slated for release by June 30, 2025.
• Farmers must complete Aadhaar-based e-KYC via OTP, biometric or face-authentication methods to avoid payment delays.
• Current or former public officeholders, income-tax payers, government pensioners with monthly incomes above ₹10,000 and certain professionals are excluded from the scheme.
