Overview
- Ricky Stubberfield, 31, was sentenced at Plymouth Crown Court to 26 years in prison plus six years on extended licence and must join the sex offenders register for life.
- He was convicted of 23 offences, including eight counts of rape, nine of sexual assault, four of assault by penetration, indecent exposure and making an indecent image of a child.
- The offending spanned December 2013 to June 2024, targeting women and girls aged 16 to 27 at the salon and other locations in Plymouth.
- Evidence presented included a recorded FaceTime call capturing an assault and DNA swabs, following an investigation by Devon and Cornwall Police’s Project Gemstone under Operation Highrock.
- Judge Robert Linford called his behaviour “utterly remorseless predation,” police welcomed the sentence, and Stubberfield maintained denials during the trial.
