• Pleasanton police responded late Friday to reports of a shooting on the 4600 block of Helpert Court and found a man with a fatal gunshot wound.
• Officers arrested 29-year-old Lucas Chan at the scene and booked him into Santa Rita Jail on suspicion of homicide.
• Detectives discovered devices in Chan’s home described as possible improvised explosive devices and summoned the Alameda County Sheriff’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team.
• EOD specialists safely rendered and removed the devices and authorities confirm there is no ongoing threat to residents.
