PlayStation to Remove Purchased Discovery Shows from User Libraries

Over 1,300 seasons of shows to be deleted due to licensing issues, leaving users without access to their purchased content.

PlayStation is removing all purchased Discovery shows from user libraries due to licensing arrangements, effective from December 31, 2023.
Over 1,300 seasons of shows will be removed, including popular titles like 'MythBusters', 'Cake Boss', and 'Deadliest Catch'.
Users who have previously purchased these shows will lose access to them permanently.
This is not the first time PlayStation has removed purchased content; last year, content from Studio Canal was also removed due to licensing issues.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has clarified that consumers only buy a limited, revocable license to enjoy digital products, not the products themselves.
