PlayStation Marks 30 Years With Archival Photo Book, Reebok Sneaker Collaboration

The project turns PlayStation’s archive into a design-led collectible for delivery in spring 2026.

Overview

  • Preorders are live at Read-Only Memory for PlayStation: The First 30 Years, a 400-page hardcover shipping in spring 2026.
  • The $125 Standard is joined by a $325 Deluxe limited to 1,994 copies with premium packaging and prints, with early storefront counts suggesting it is selling quickly.
  • The volume showcases never-before-seen R&D prototypes, concept sketches, and development models, with insights from Ken Kutaragi, Teiyu Goto, and Yujin Morisawa.
  • Photography is by Benedict Redgrove with art direction and design by Michael C. Place and Nicole Motby at Studio Build, produced in direct collaboration with PlayStation and initially exclusive to Read-Only Memory.
  • Sony also unveiled a PlayStation x Reebok trio of sneakers linked to Japan, the US, and the UK launch regions, set for October in limited-edition packaging with pricing and retail details to follow.
