PLAY Magazine to Publish Final Issue After 29 Years

The iconic PlayStation-focused publication will release its last edition on October 15, marking the end of an era in gaming media.

PLAY Magazine, originally launched in June 1995, will cease publication with its 46th issue.
The magazine was revived in 2021 by Future Publishing as a successor to the Official PlayStation Magazine UK.
PLAY's final issue will feature a cover story on Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and other major PlayStation titles.
This closure follows the shutdown of Game Informer in August 2024, highlighting a broader decline in print gaming media.
The last issue will include reflections and eulogies from current and former staff, celebrating the magazine's legacy.
