• IMSS reported 21,750 jobs created in August, 22.45 million registered jobs and 23.53 million affiliations when counting platform beneficiaries.
• Only 133,178 platform workers, or 13.6% of roughly 980,000 registered, crossed the net‑income threshold to access full IMSS benefits.
• Analysts estimate that without the counted platform positions August would have shown a net loss of about 57,960 jobs.
• STPS will reduce exclusion percentages to 36% for auto, 30% for moto and 12% for non‑motorized from October to December before setting definitive parameters in January 2026.
