Overview
- The Rio Claro municipal directory voted unanimously to expel Amanda Servidoni and reported the decision to Brazil’s electoral court (TSE).
- The party said it acted under its statute for conduct that harms the party’s image following national repercussion of the recordings.
- In the audios, Servidoni is heard saying that from a R$300,000 emenda, she wanted at least R$100,000 back, and she uses vulgar language about a proposed veterinary hospital.
- Servidoni leads the social project Mulheres pela Fé, which is sponsored by state secretary Valéria Bolsonaro, who opened a political office in October at the same address.
- The São Paulo State Secretariat for Women said it has no link to the project and noted that the application of emendas is a responsibility of municipalities and oversight bodies.
