The Tigers forced 17 turnovers and outscored Wichita State 29-9 on fastbreak points, showcasing their defensive pressure and transition offense.
Wichita State, which had previously upset Memphis in overtime this season, struggled with shooting during critical stretches, missing 11 consecutive field goals around halftime.
Memphis, now 27-5 on the season, advances to face either Tulane or Florida Atlantic in the AAC semifinal on Saturday.
