Pirates' No. 1 draft pick Paul Skenes promoted to Double-A after strong start

Pirates promoted Paul Skenes, the No. 1 pick in 2023 MLB Draft, to Double-A Altoona after strong performance in Single-A.
Skenes threw three one-hit innings with four strikeouts and no earned runs in Single-A debut.
He signed a record $9.2 million bonus with the Pirates after being drafted.
Skenes expected to make Double-A debut on Saturday against the Akron RubberDucks.
No. 2 draft pick Dylan Crews was also recently promoted to Double-A by his team.
