Pirates-Nationals series opener rained out, doubleheader set for Saturday

The Pittsburgh Pirates were scheduled to play the Washington Nationals Friday night, but the game was postponed due to rain.
The teams will make up the game Saturday as part of a split doubleheader, with the first game starting at 1:05 p.m. ET and the second tentatively set for 6:05 p.m.
Left-hander Rich Hill was slated to start for the Pirates, while right-hander Chad Kuhl was set to pitch for the Nationals in the originally scheduled matchup Friday.
The Pirates have won nine of their last 10 games, while the Nationals had won four of five before losing to the Mets on Thursday.
The Nationals will start Patrick Corbin in Saturday's first game, while the Pirates' pitching plans are yet to be announced.
