Pioneering Fundraiser Claire Lomas Dies at 44

Lomas, known for completing a marathon in a 'bionic' suit, passed away following an accident in Jordan.

Claire Lomas was the first person to complete a marathon in a 'bionic' suit, finishing the London Marathon in 17 days in 2012.
Paralysed from the chest down due to a horse-riding accident in 2007, she raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for spinal injury charities.
Lomas was also a motivational speaker, qualified pilot, and was made an MBE in 2017 for her contributions.
She died following an accident in Jordan on August 22, leaving behind her husband and two young daughters.
Tributes have poured in, praising her as an inspiration and a powerhouse of positivity.
