Pink Power Run Draws 20,000 in Hyderabad as Organisers Unveil 2026 Global Relay Plan

Overview

  • The second edition at Necklace Road featured 10 km, 5 km and 3 km races under the theme “Stride & Shine,” drawing a broad cross-section of participants from students to senior citizens.
  • Event patrons Sudha Reddy and Krishna Reddy flagged off the run with Miss World Chairperson Julia Morley and tennis great Leander Paes, joined by reigning Miss World Opal Suchata Chuangsri and other Miss World titleholders.
  • Ankit Gupta won the 10K men’s race in 30:52 and Seema Seema topped the women’s field in 34:44, while Harmanjot Singh (14:25) and Ankita (16:52) took the 5K titles.
  • Cash prizes reached up to ₹3.5 lakh, and Julia Morley received the Excellence in Mentorship Award 2025 for contributions to women’s empowerment and community health.
  • Organisers announced ‘Pink Power Run – Beyond Borders’ for 2026, a planned 24-hour continental relay targeting participation in up to 140 countries with Miss World continent queens as ambassadors.
