- The collection features six previously unreleased demos and alternate versions, including a newly created complete “Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1–9)” stereo mix by James Guthrie.
- A new Dolby Atmos mix of the original album has been produced by longtime Pink Floyd collaborator James Guthrie.
- The digital edition adds 25 bonus tracks, including 16 Mike Millard–recorded performances from the April 26, 1975 Los Angeles Sports Arena concert, restored and remastered by Steven Wilson.
- A preview track, “The Machine Song (Demo #2, Revisited)”—an early version of “Welcome to the Machine”—was released with the announcement.
- Formats include 3LP, 2CD, Blu-ray and a Deluxe Box Set that adds a clear-vinyl Live at Wembley 1974 LP, a replica Japanese 7-inch single, three concert screen films, a Storm Thorgerson short, a hardcover book, a comic tour program and a Knebworth poster.
