Pink Floyd Sets December 12 Release for 'Wish You Were Here' 50th-Anniversary Editions

The project pairs new James Guthrie mixes with Steven Wilson’s restoration of Mike Millard’s 1975 Los Angeles tapes.

  • Wish You Were Here 50 arrives via Sony Music in 3LP, 2CD, Blu-ray, digital and a deluxe box set, with pre-orders now available.
  • The set adds 25 bonus tracks, including nine studio rarities and 16 recordings from the April 26, 1975 Los Angeles Sports Arena show receiving its first official release.
  • A new Dolby Atmos mix of the original album debuts alongside a newly assembled complete Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts. 1–9) stereo mix by James Guthrie.
  • Pink Floyd released a preview today with The Machine Song (Demo #2, Revisited), an early version of Welcome to the Machine, joined by Roger Waters’ home demo and other outtakes.
  • The deluxe box includes a clear-vinyl Live at Wembley 1974 LP, a replica Japanese 7-inch, a hardcover book with unseen photos, a comic tour programme, a Knebworth poster and a Blu-ray with three 1975 concert screen films and a Storm Thorgerson short.
