  • Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) secured second place in Maharashtra's municipal rankings with a score of 85.71, just behind Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation, which scored 86.29.
  • The rankings were part of the Chief Minister’s 100 Days Action Plan, aimed at driving administrative reforms and citizen-centric governance across the state.
  • PCMC stood out for its digital and civic innovations, including an accessible real-time website, AI-driven grievance redressal, GIS-based tax reforms, and smart sanitation solutions.
  • The Quality Council of India evaluated 48 departments across 10 metrics, such as website accessibility, office infrastructure, and grievance resolution, to determine the rankings.
  • State leaders, including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, publicly commended PCMC for its achievements and pledged continued support for further improvements.
