Investigators from CENIPA have begun an initial probe, with wreckage recovery to be handled by the operator.

Overview

  • Jet-skis, inflatable boats, divers and a helicopter searched for about two and a half hours before recovering the pilot’s body, and no other victims were reported.
  • The aircraft was performing an aerial advertising tow and sank quickly after impact off a crowded stretch of beach.
  • The Brazilian Air Force’s CENIPA activated SERIPA III to carry out the initial investigation of aircraft PT-AGB to determine contributing factors.
