Overview
- The bus carrying Narmada Parikrama pilgrims overturned around 8 a.m. near Baigur on the Khetia–Pati ghat road in Barwani district.
- Police said about 55–56 people were on board, with one woman killed and dozens injured, including several reported in critical condition.
- Locals, SDERF and police led a multi-hour rescue, using a crane to free two passengers trapped in the vehicle.
- Most injured were treated at the Khetia primary health facility, and roughly 15 patients were referred to Barwani district hospital for advanced care.
- The deceased was identified as Badri Bai, 62, and the group had set out from Indore via Omkareshwar toward Prakasha in Maharashtra.
