Overview
- The transporter tipped after moving onto the right shoulder to pass an oncoming car on the Suppingen–Machtolsheim link around 16:20.
- The 50-year-old driver was unhurt as firefighters freed the animals into a makeshift pen and veterinary staff assessed them.
- Sixteen injured pigs were euthanized and removed by a contracted company, while 67 survivors were sent to the Ulm slaughterhouse.
