Pierce Brosnan Cited for Trespassing in Yellowstone National Park

The actor faces court appearance for violating park rules at Mammoth Terraces

Pierce Brosnan, the 70-year-old James Bond actor, has received two citations for allegedly walking in off-limits areas of Yellowstone National Park.
The incident occurred on November 1 at Mammoth Terraces, a scenic spot of mineral-encrusted hot springs in the northern part of Yellowstone near the Wyoming-Montana line.
Brosnan has been ordered to appear in court at the Yellowstone Justice Center on January 23.
The last time visitors were cited for trespassing within the Mammoth Hot Springs was in 2019 when two men were sentenced to 10 days of incarceration, $540 in restitution, five years of unsupervised probation, and a five-year ban from Yellowstone.
Violating the park's rules can lead to serious consequences, including jail time, fines, and park bans, as the scalding water and fragile ground can make certain areas in Yellowstone dangerous or even deadly.
