- Pakistan International Airlines renewed its IATA Operational Safety Audit registration for a 12th consecutive cycle and holds the certificate for two years through 2028.
- The renewal followed a risk-based IOSA audit that assessed the airline’s flight operations, cabin operations, ground handling and cargo operations.
- PIA credited its operational departments and the Corporate Quality & Safety Assurance team for meeting the audit requirements and called the result a milestone for ongoing improvement.
- The IOSA programme, run by IATA, evaluates airlines’ operational management and control systems and serves as an international benchmark used by regulators and partners.
- Maintaining IOSA status preserves PIA’s internationally recognised safety credential and is likely to support regulatory confidence, partner relations and passenger trust as the airline pursues further safety and quality upgrades.
