Pi Network Switches App Studio to Usage-Based Fees

- Pi replaced its flat 0.25 PI create and 0.25 PI edit fees with a usage-based pricing model that began on August 24, 2026, shifting costs to reflect actual AI service consumption.
- The Core Team said it will not add a markup to underlying AI service costs and will bill developers for the compute and AI resources each create or edit action consumes.
- Some applications can still access the earlier subsidized prices if they demonstrate regular, distinct user activity, and initial eligibility will be determined from existing App Studio usage data.
