Phoenix Police Probe Domestic Shooting That Killed Woman and Separate South Phoenix Pedestrian Death

Detectives say the west-side killing stemmed from a domestic dispute with no ongoing public threat.

  • The wounded man, described as about 50 years old, underwent emergency surgery for life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized.
  • Officers were called around 5:12 p.m. to a residence near 91st Avenue and Indian School Road, where both victims were found with gunshot wounds.
  • In a separate case Saturday morning, an unidentified man was found near 23rd Avenue and Baseline Road and appeared to have been struck by a vehicle before being pronounced dead at the scene.
  • Investigations continue at both scenes, and police are asking anyone with information on the south Phoenix death to contact Silent Witness.
