Owner Mat Ishbia prioritized the creation of this facility after acquiring the team in 2023.
Taurasi, a three-time WNBA champion and six-time Olympian, has spent her entire career with the Mercury.
The opening coincides with the WNBA All-Star weekend, which will feature various events at the Footprint Center.
