Philosophy Student Convicted for Murdering Fiancé with Her Car

Alice Wood, a 23-year-old philosophy student, has been found guilty of murdering her fiancé, Ryan Watson, by deliberately running him over with her car.
The incident occurred in May 2022, after the couple had an argument at a party where Wood accused Watson of flirting with another woman.
Witnesses described the incident as a game of 'chicken', with Wood repeatedly driving her car at Watson, eventually trapping him underneath and dragging him for over 500 feet.
Despite Wood's claims that Watson's death was a 'tragic accident', CCTV footage and witness testimonies led to her conviction.
Wood, who was preparing for her final exams for a theology, philosophy, and ethics degree at the time of the incident, is due to be sentenced on January 29, 2024.
