Overview
- President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski announced a package of promotions to baseball operations on Thursday, elevating Dan Aucoin, Luke Murton, Ray Robles and Edwin Soto and expanding Ned Rice’s business duties.
- Luke Murton was given a newly created title, Assistant General Manager, Hitting, and will lead the Phillies’ minor-league hitting development program while the team searches for a new farm director.
- Dan Aucoin was promoted to Assistant General Manager, Research and Information to consolidate analytics and information work inside baseball operations.
- Ray Robles will replace longtime director Lee McDaniel, who is scheduled to retire in January 2027, when Robles becomes Director, Minor League and International Operations.
- The moves create five assistant general managers under Dombrowski and GM Preston Mattingly and are designed to retain key staff and tighten operational continuity as the 74-60 Phillies pursue a playoff spot and plan for offseason decisions.
