  • President of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski announced the club picked up Alvarado’s option for the 2026 season.
  • Alvarado made 28 appearances in 2025 with a 3.81 ERA, striking out 32 with seven walks, converting seven of eight save chances and posting 20 scoreless outings.
  • He served an 80-game suspension from May 18 to Aug. 18, was reinstated Aug. 19, then went on the 15-day injured list Sept. 12 with a left forearm strain and missed the remainder of the year.
  • Statcast measured a 99.1 mph average sinker (98th percentile) and a 47.4% whiff rate on his cutter during the 2025 season.
  • In five Phillies seasons, he has 259 relief appearances, a 3.48 ERA and 308 strikeouts, ranking eighth on the franchise’s all-time reliever strikeout list.
