Phillies' All-Star Pitcher Ranger Suárez Placed on 15-Day Injured List

Suárez sidelined with lower back soreness, Kolby Allard recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Suárez's injury move is retroactive to July 24, following back spasms that kept him out of the All-Star game.
He has a 2.87 ERA and was the first MLB pitcher to reach 10 wins this season.
Manager Rob Thomson hopes Suárez will return during the August 8-11 series against Arizona.
Allard, who has a 5.23 ERA in Triple-A this season, will start in Suárez's place against Cleveland.
Phillies are currently dealing with multiple pitcher injuries, including Taijuan Walker and Spencer Turnbull.
