Philips Hue Integrates Nanoleaf Shapes With $39.99 Wall Module

Users can control Nanoleaf Shapes from Hue with a temporary loss of Nanoleaf-only dynamic effects.

Overview

  • The Philips Hue x Nanoleaf Wall Light Module went on sale Thursday, September 3, 2026 for $39.99 and snaps onto Nanoleaf Hexagon, Triangle and Mini Triangle panels.
  • When added in the Hue app the module makes each panel appear as a full Hue light so panels can use Hue gradients, scenes, automations, switches and Hue entertainment features.
  • Attaching the Hue module currently disables Nanoleaf-specific features such as dynamic scenes, screen mirroring, music-reactive effects and the Nanoleaf physical controller.
  • Philips Hue and Nanoleaf say a dual-control mode that lets both the Hue module and Nanoleaf controller work together is planned in the next couple of months, and Hue will sell Nanoleaf starter kits on its site starting October 1, 2026.
  • The module includes a full Hue connectivity stack (Bluetooth, Zigbee and Thread) so panels can be used in Hue and exposed as standard Hue lights to other smart-home platforms, and Hue chose this direct integration because the Matter standard does not yet support the dynamic features Hue wanted.
