Philadelphia Flower Show 2026 Reveals ‘Rooted’ Theme With First Look at Exhibits

The Feb. 28–March 8 event opens Philadelphia’s Semiquincentennial programming.

Overview

  • Organizers previewed “Rooted: Origins of American Gardening,” the finale of a three‑year curatorial arc, set at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
  • Guests will enter through “The Forest Floor,” a misty, root‑inspired installation using moss, stone and wood, drawing from Zen gardens and Scottish forests.
  • The special “American Landscape Showcase” features gardens by Etta Studio, Unknown Studio, Design Under Sky and Kelly D. Norris to trace 250 years of community gardening.
  • “First Bloom – Rooted in Memory” brings international florists Gábor Nagy, Alex Segura, Chantal Post and Conny van der Westerlaken to share how their floral journeys began.
  • Operations shift to improve flow with a street‑level Marketplace, an expanded Artisan Row, new Potting Party sessions, returning favorites like early tours, Bloom Bar and Fido Fridays, plus layout changes to accommodate a concurrent medical meeting and wayfinding built around see, shop, make, learn and play.
