The second Christmas album by Philadelphia Eagles’ trio Jason Kelce, Jordan Mailata, and Lane Johnson, 'A Philly Special Christmas Special', features the cover of Mariah Carey's hit 'All I Want for Christmas Is You'.
The album, available from December 1, includes special guest appearances from Patti Labelle and Travis Kelce, Jason's brother.
The recording process was more transparent this year, allowing the trio to witness the creation of the songs. Travis Kelce participated in a duet with his brother on this album.
Jordan Mailata, who started singing at a young age, expressed his nervousness about singing in a collaboration with renowned singer Patti Labelle, admitting it was 'nerve-wracking' to sing 'in front of a great' like her.
Despite Mariah Carey's version of 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' being the unofficial anthem to kickoff the holiday season, the cover by the Eagles' trio has been received well, earning a spot in the holiday song rotation of many fans.
