• Lars Wingefors will step down as CEO on August 1, 2025, to become executive chair of Embracer Group
• Phil Rogers, current CEO of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos, will take over as Embracer Group CEO on the same date
• In his executive chair role, Wingefors will concentrate on strategic initiatives, M&A activities and capital allocation to support the company’s next growth phase
• Embracer completed a major reorganization in April 2024 by spinning out Asmodee, Coffee Stain Group and Fellowship Entertainment into independent businesses
• Following a collapsed $2 billion deal in May 2023, Embracer undertook a restructuring that cut nearly 1,400 jobs, closed several studios and divested assets to reduce debt
