Phantom Blade Zero Declares Development Complete as Pre-Orders Open

S-GAME is preparing a cross-platform digital launch for its first console title and will follow with a new trailer to reveal more story and combat details.

Overview

  • S-GAME says development on Phantom Blade Zero is finished and that pre-orders will begin Aug. 11 at 7 PM Pacific Time (Aug. 12 at 10 AM Beijing) on the PlayStation Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
  • The game is scheduled to release on October 29 for PC and PlayStation 5 after a 50-day delay from an earlier September 9 launch window.
  • Phantom Blade Zero is the studio’s first console project and a full 3D spiritual reboot of its Rainblood series that was planned from 2017 and entered full-scale development in 2022.
  • S-GAME’s founder said combat draws inspiration from Ninja Gaiden, Sekiro, and Nioh, and hands-on builds have shown fast, boss-focused action combined with deep RPG systems where side quests can alter the main story.
  • Watch for the teased trailer and pre-order metrics as S-GAME moves from mobile and PC into the triple-A console market, a shift that could reshape the studio’s audience and revenue stream.
