- According to reports, Toffoli traveled to Lima on businessman Luiz Osvaldo Pastore’s jet alongside attorney Augusto Arruda Botelho, who represents a Banco Master executive.
- The Banco Master matter was assigned to Toffoli shortly after the trip, and on December 2 he placed elevated secrecy on parts of the investigation.
- Senator Rodrigo Pacheco publicly argued the flight does not make Toffoli legally suspect or impeded and said the case’s handling in the Supreme Court under secrecy is appropriate.
