PGA Tour Reinstates Brooks Koepka Under One-Time Return Program

A one-time PGA Tour program restores select LIV major winners under steep penalties with a Feb. 2 deadline.

Overview

  • Brooks Koepka is reinstated immediately and scheduled for the Farmers Insurance Open (Jan. 29–Feb. 1) and the WM Phoenix Open the following week.
  • Reinstatement terms require a $5 million charitable donation, a five-year forfeiture of Player Equity Program participation, and no 2026 FedExCup bonus eligibility, with the Tour estimating $50–$85 million in foregone equity.
  • The Returning Member Program is limited to players away at least two years who won a major or The Players since 2022, with Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith eligible to apply by Feb. 2.
  • To protect current members’ opportunities, the Tour will expand fields and requires returning players to compete in at least 15 co-sponsored or approved events in 2026.
  • Access to 2026 signature events is not automatic and must be earned via victories, FedExCup points pathways or OWGR status, and the Tour emphasized the board-approved program is a one-time window.
