El Cardonal, which opened in 2014, provides a unique playing experience with expansive fairways and greens, and Tiger Woods emphasizes its strategic aspects.
With breathtaking views and a tropical climate, the course presents a different kind of links-style golf compared to traditional British Open conditions.
The tournament, which was previously staged at Club de Golf El Camaleon in Mayakoba, boasts a $8.2 million purse, with the winner taking home $1.476 million.
In addition to Block, prominent players such as Ryder Cup sensation Ludvig Åberg, Cameron Young, Lucas Glover, and recent Fortinet Championship winner Sahith Theegala will be participating.
