Peugeot Unveils E-208 GTi Electric Hot Hatch

Peugeot’s electric hot hatch premiered at Le Mans as a full-electric revival of its GTi lineage ahead of order openings.

Overview

  • The E-208 GTi is driven by a 206 kW (280 PS) M4+ electric motor producing 345 Nm of torque for a 0–100 km/h sprint in 5.7 seconds and a limited top speed of 180 km/h.
  • It retains the standard E-208’s 54 kWh CATL battery paired with revised battery management software and upgraded cooling to protect cells during sporty driving.
  • Chassis enhancements include a 30 mm lower ride height, a widened track (56 mm front, 27 mm rear), hydraulic bump stops, sport-tuned suspension and a dedicated sport ESP mode.
  • Stopping power and grip are boosted by 355 mm front disc brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tyres and an integrated locking differential for sharper cornering.
  • Distinctive GTi styling features bright red exterior paint, black 18-inch wheels, widened fenders, red-accented interior trim and a GTi-specific sport steering wheel.
