Peugeot 408 Facelift Debuts at Brussels With Illuminated Branding and Subtle EV Upgrades

Plug & Charge rolls out from summer, with pricing and delivery dates still unconfirmed.

Overview

  • Peugeot’s refresh introduces its first backlit rear ‘Peugeot’ script and an illuminated lion badge, plus three-claw LED daytime running lights that double as scrolling indicators.
  • The main headlamps are repositioned lower and split into two thin modules, while the familiar three-claw rear light signature becomes standard across the range.
  • The e-408 retains a 207bhp motor and 58.2kWh battery with a quoted range up to 283 miles, supports DC charging at up to 120kW, and adds battery pre-conditioning, Vehicle-to-Load and an 80% AC charge limit.
  • Plug & Charge arrives from the summer, authenticating payment via the driver’s Free2Move account and already working at roughly 15,000 public chargers across Europe.
  • The plug-in hybrid gains a small efficiency lift to a 237bhp combined output and about three extra electric-only miles, while cosmetic and cabin tweaks add Flare Green paint, new wheels, upgraded materials and revised displays under an eight-year/100,000-mile warranty.
