Petronet LNG Q2 Profit Falls 5% on Lower Volumes, Board Declares Rs 7 Interim Dividend

Weaker throughput at the Dahej terminal weighed on earnings.

  • Net profit for July–September stood at Rs 805.75 crore, down from Rs 847.62 crore a year earlier.
  • Profit before tax was Rs 1,083 crore, lower than both the previous quarter and the year-ago period.
  • Total LNG processed in Q2 was 228 TBTU versus 239 TBTU a year earlier, with Dahej handling 211 TBTU against 225 TBTU.
  • First-half profit after tax declined to Rs 1,656 crore from Rs 1,989 crore, with overall H1 throughput down to 449 TBTU from 501 TBTU.
  • The Board approved an interim dividend of Rs 7 per share alongside the quarterly results.
